Hunter and the Boys

Every CBAF bass tournament my son gets so excited. For weeks before the tournament to the day of the tournament he is on a different planet. First of all he gets to play with all the dads that show up. I think he thinks he is their age. Hunter and I have been fishing bass tournaments for the last four years now. He started when his was six years old. He was in rare form when all the guys showed up at Folsom lake. Now at ten he is wearing his Ranger jacket and his G Loomis hat. He thinks he is now a bass pro. You know at times he does pretty good. That is after he is rested. Then there are times when the baseball season and all the playing around catches up to him and he goes into a melt down. I have to say that the dads that know him seemed to gravitate towards him and the next thing you know they are wrestling or chasing each other. I remember at the CBAF tournament Hunter was hanging upside down most of the time. It seemed as though each guy that has been around him for the last couple of tournament knows this is what he likes. We have a friend Steve who put ice down Hunters pants at the last tournament. And Mike seemed to have him above his head most of the time he is around him. Pat makes some strange noises that only Pat can make and Hunter thinks he is great. And then their is Dave or as Hunter and my daughter Hayley would say is panty boy the cheer leader. We have a new friend his name is Pat. He won a bunch of stuff at the Honor Bound tournament and he gave it all to Hunter. I have to say that I have been blessed to have met so many good men since I became a Christian over again. Great people have come into my life the number one guy is Jesus Christ our savior. I want to say thank you Lord for giving me a opportunity to start over again. I thank you for showing Hunter what good people are all about. I want to thank you for bringing Jay Yelas into my life. I want to say that I can tell the difference from my old life to my new. Thank you to all my friends and Thank you Lord for being in my Life.
