Have you just wanted to go fishing and stay on the water as long as you want? I know some of you have experienced that. What a great day you can have starting with a spot first thing and coming back to that same spot at the end of the day. Yep they are still there. That’s what Tim Dotson from CBAF and I found last weekend. Tim and I headed out to Clear Lake to see if I couldn’t help him out for his tournament the next weekend. I am happy to say that Tim and his team partner took second place in an Anglers Choice event last weekend at Clear Lake. I wanted to show Tim some areas that are away from the pressure of the weekend tournaments and anglers. WE went out when WON Bass was having their tournament and there was a future Pro Am event going on as well. Our first stop no one around and bang we started catching quality fish. We followed that pattern into three or four areas and the fish were there and the fisherman were not. We then headed out towards the narrows to see how deep we could catch them. After that we went Flipping. I was real surprised that the big fish were not as shallow as I thought. None the less we had a great day and caught some great keepers. Tim and I put twelve hours in on the water and came home very excited. We just Tim and his partner were going to do well and they did. Congratulations Tim.
