Hello everyone! I am excited to share with you that I will be picking up my new Savvy Rods from Dobyn’s Rod Company. This will give you an opportunity to try these rods out when you go fishing with me. I wanted to share with everyone I will be in Manteca, California at the beautiful Bass Pro Shops sale February 26th and the 27th, 2010. This also means I will miss the CBAF tournament at Lake McClure. I will also be down in south San Jose, California at Coyote Bait and Tackle for their Spring Parking Lot sale March 20th. I am also scheduled to be in downtown San Jose in April at Mel Cotton’s Sporting Goods store. Hope to see you all soon…if not see you on the water.

As promotional director for this event and member of the Christian Bass Anglers Fellowship I am proud to report that this year’s tournament was a huge success. The event generated over six hundred toys and drew more teams than in our past four years. The first place team, which was one person fishing by himself was Zack Thompson with over twenty one pounds. Zack is this years Land of Lakes Wal-Mart series FLW angler of the year. How awesome is that to have such a great angler and person to come out and be a part of this charity event. To top it off Zack donated half of his first place earnings back to the Toys for the Troops Kids Charity. It just doesn’t get any better than that. WE had so many people and groups come together to support this years event. I would like to try to mention a few and I know I will forget someone and I am sorry if I do.

Your participation could make a difference in a child’s life. Your participation would be giving back to those who are giving up their lives so that you can keep on fishing and living in a great country. I know the fighting men and women of our armed forces (moms and dads) would appreciate your support and making their kids Christmas better even though they are without their parents.
I know Times are Tough for all of us in this economy…imagine how tough things are for the men and women of our armed forces that are overseas sleeping on the ground, getting shot at, living in the heat thousands of miles from home. What kinds of hardship are you really experiencing compared to their sacrifice? Not much…so come out and show your support.

The toys for the Troops Bass tournament will be held at Russo’s Marina Bethel Island,
California November 7th. Registration can be made on line at www.thecbaf.com or at Russo’s Marina at 5:00 a.m. the morning of the tournament.

Entry fee $100.00 and two toys per team.

This is a well run event with every level of bass fishing experience. Those that are new to tournament bass fishing come out and meet the pros.

Professional anglers come out and support a charity non profit event for your sponsors.
